How atomic clocks really work

19:51 Unknown 0 Comments

Some people think that the atomic clock works by measuring the decay of some isotope. This is not the case; rather it measures oscillations of an atom, just as a pendulum clock measures the swing of a pendulum. In the atomic clock, cesium atoms are placed in a copper tube that is surrounded by laser beams (four perpendicular and at right angles to each other and one above and one below). When they are all turned on the cesium atoms gather at the very centre of the tube. Then all of the lasers except the one beneath the copper tube are turned off. The one beneath is turned off and on and the cesium atoms are moved up and down in a fountain-like action. To ensure precision, the clock is shielded from the Earth's magnetic field and the temperature is set to near absolute zero (-273 degrees Centigrade).
http://www.citizenclock.com/history_design.html
As the cesium atoms are thrown up by the laser beneath the tube, they go through a microwave-emitting cavity and then return via gravity through the same cavity. The microwaves are fired at a fluctuating rate around 9,192,631,770 Hertz - regulated by a vibrating crystal. The cesium atoms actually begin to glow or emit light. As the atoms change state, their change is measured. When the state changes are at their optimum, the number of Hertz of the microwave is measured. This is used to adjust the crystal oscillator, which should now register true seconds.
This all occurs at two places at once, in Colorado and in Paris. The two clocks really only register the length of a second. An average is found between the two measurements. This second is used to synchronize 200 or so other less accurate clocks stationed at other locations around the world. The average of all of these clocks is called International Atomic Time. The clock is so accurate that with the degree of possible error assigned it would take 6 million years for the clock to be off by a second. The Bureau of Weights and Measures then distributes this information throughout the world.

Clarity of mind?

18:21 Unknown 0 Comments

Recently, WikiHow published 'How to get mental clarity' and it listed the 5 ways that you can help with it.
http://bbombs.com/girl-independent/
1. Attain a good quality and quantity of sleep.
2. Get regular exercise.
3. Exercise your mind to stimulate and strengthen your brain.
4. Maintain a healthy blood sugar level. Just as gasoline fuels a car, blood sugar fuels a brain.
5. Provide the right nutrients.

Above ways can get you a full mental clarity. In fact mental clarity have more definitions. People are afraid of a brainwash, definitely. But what if we were already brainwashed by thinking to avoid brainwash or, even reading my sentence? Since we were born, when we had our first thoughts we were exposed to the realm of sense which by that time we haven't developed it yet. Until we were taught what is sense...What if you are brainwashed? We look at things based on our experience, and for the rest we'll  never know. Brainwash supposed to be a political word but now as we look deeper into the meaning, it seemed to be be very dull. Some words never meant to mean themselves. Some may say Brainwash means being taught the wrong knowledge but how do we consider the knowledge right or wrong? How do regard Limit and Infinity?I think some human sense is ought to be wrong.

Hey Brother -Avicii

Hey brother, there’s an endless road to re-discover.
Hey sister, know the water's sweet but blood is thicker.
Oh, if the sky comes falling down for you,
There’s nothing in this world I wouldn’t do.

Hey brother, do you still believe in one another?
Hey sister, do you still believe in love, I wonder?
Oh, if the sky comes falling down for you,
There’s nothing in this world I wouldn’t do.

What if I'm far from home?
Oh, brother I will hear you call.
What if I lose it all?
Oh, sister I will help you out!
Oh, if the sky comes falling down for you,
There’s nothing in this world I wouldn’t do.

Hey brother, there’s an endless road to re-discover.
Hey sister, do you still believe in love, I wonder?
Oh, if the sky comes falling down for you,
There’s nothing in this world I wouldn’t do.

What if I'm far from home?
Oh, brother I will hear you call.

10:39 Unknown 0 Comments

Since the release of iPod touch 5, the flagship media player made by Apple, it was greatly welcomed by teenagers with its colourful, metallic and lively colour.

Apple once released a 16GB low-level version, with only one colour and no iSight camera. Just today, Apple has just launched a refreshed version of the 16GB model. The new model features similar tech specs with the 32GB and 64GB model, that means it has a 500 megapixels iSight camera, Apple A5 processor, 4-inch Retina display, and available in 6 colours. However the loop is not included. Its price is as well slightly lower, start from $199 for the 16GB model. The price of the 32GB and 64GB model also decreased to $249 and $299 respectively.
The iPod touch was popular among the young with its colourful and vibrant colour
The new iPod ships with iOS7. And you'll be able to upgrade to iOS8 later on. It is now available in US Apple online store and later available in other countries.

Doing things just to amuse yourself

23:26 Unknown 0 Comments

One thing I've noticed with supposedly weird people is that they'll do little things to amuse themselves and not care what everyone else thinks of it. Like they may say a comment out loud that will entertain them to hear, but will offend or confuse everyone else. They may revert to this kind of behavior when they're bored or have nothing else to do. Sometimes it's almost like they have a little in-joke with themselves. At other times they get entertainment simply from acting strange. The obvious drawback is that outside of their own little world other people think they're acting odd.

Having too many esoteric thoughts, knowledge, and experiences in your head.

Sometimes people are seen as weird because they've spent hours and hours accumulating non-typical knowledge and experiences. If they're having a conversation and want to relate a point of your own, they're more likely to come up with something that seems bizarre and out of place to most people, because they don't have as much 'typical' material to draw from. For example if everyone is joking around about sex, they may mention something they read about the peculiar mating habits of barnacles. Nothing wrong with being interested in that topic, but it's a lot more random than what most people expect to hear. If your brain is pre-loaded with nothing but 'weird' things then you can't help but let it come out in conversations, like I do, always skipping around subjects, making it quite hard for a proper conversation.

Doing things a bit off the wall

23:26 Unknown 1 Comments

Being Square or old-fashioned is fine, living like an old man but to some this behavior may seem weird. Normal* people found the ones being ideologically isolated (listening to Frank Sinatra and never heard modern music but saying new music is crap and thinking the old fashioned or stubborn way). This is mainly caused by their own experiences when they were young. I knew two brothers (One still have some hair and the another one is bald) who were frozen in time since 1959, they still trying to maintain the Elvis Presley's 50s hairstyle. No matter what times did you live through, I personally think it is important to keep up with the age. Just being different from the norm in some way.

I've never heard anyone say, "Look at that weird jock", but you'll often hear, "Look at that weird Goth kid." To a large degree Goths are seen as weird, and jocks seen as normal, because one subculture is way more common than the other. Sure, some people would argue that Goths are weird in other ways as well, but I think it's all pretty subjective. Many people will be seen as weird simply for dressing very differently, having an crazy hobby, having a unique way of looking at the world, or having opinions that aren't entirely mainstream (in this case I will explain with more detail in the following). This is the variety of weirdness that many people probably won't want to change took much, or only make slight adjustments to.

3 more things to earn someone a weird label

17:57 Unknown 0 Comments

Having an odd sense of humour

In some ways, people can't help but assume that your sense of humour reflects what you're like as a person. If you make a lot of strange or random jokes then people may assume your actual personality is like that. This one is very subjective as well. There's nothing wrong with making jokes that are really out there. Many people actually prefer that type of wit. I think what's important is to know your audience. Some people may not think anything of it when you show your random sense of humour. Other people may form the impression that you're a weird person overall, even if they laugh at some of the odd stuff you come up with( e.g. Samuel thinks that the particular name 'Helsinki' is very funny, so every time he hears the word, he'll burst into laughing).

Having truly odd beliefs

I already mentioned how it's fine if someone has views that are just different from the norm. This point is talking about on-the-face 'off' beliefs, the kind of thing that upon hearing you can't help but immediately dismiss. They're the kind of views that are formed when someone is too socially inexperienced or cut off from the world. It's hard to think up examples, but you tend to recognize these kinds of opinions when you hear them.

Acting hyper and childish

Some people can act pretty childish and hyper, especially when they're excited or simply joking around. They get carried away and go overboard with the silliness. The same people often come across as immature in general. A lot of people will label this kind of behavior as weird and see it as pretty off putting.

Any kind of social awkwardness

10:08 Unknown 0 Comments

This point and the ones below cover behaviors that are more objectively problematic. People often get called weird when they make a lot of social mistakes. They're seen as strange because their behaviors is not what others are expecting. People may also assume a person's social errors are symptoms of a more core oddness.

Not making enough eye contact? Weird.

Laughing without reason?Weird.

Standing too close? Weird.

Speaking in a funny voice? Weird.

Was asked a question where people normally give a canned response and said something out of left field instead? Weird.

Disclosing too much personal information at a time when it's not so appropriate? Weird.

Brought up a gross subject during a meeting? Weird.

It's four in the morning and he switched on the music and started dancing? Weird.

Seemed really uncomfortable and stammered out two-word reply when I said hello?

Maybe just shy, possibly weird as well.

Being really quiet? Again, many people could see this behavior as a sign of shyness, but some would also label it as weird too.

I could go on and on. Of course just improving your social skills will correct this problem.

Apple launches new, cheaper iMac

09:58 Unknown 0 Comments

Apple has unveiled a new, cheaper iMac, and has reduced the price of its older iMac models too.

Apple on 18 June took the Apple Store offline from 8am BST all the way up until 1pm BST, and when it came back online there was a brand-new, cheaper iMac waiting for us, as well as a cheaper price tag for Apple's other iMac models. This isn't the proper update we're waiting for (perhaps that'll happen later this year when Intel's Broadwell chips become available) but it's still exciting news that makes the iMac much more affordable.

New cheaper iMac 2014: Price
The new iMac model is just £899, much cheaper than the original base model's price of £1,149. This also makes it cheaper than any of Apple's MacBook Pro models, even the non-Retina MacBook Pro, and a similar price to the 13in MacBook Air, which starts at £849. It's still not as cheap as the Mac mini, though, which we hoped might also get an update but didn't, and remains available from £499.

New cheaper iMac 2014: Specs
Of course, with such a low price tag compared to its siblings, the new cheaper iMac also has less impressive specs.

Apple has stuck with just the one new model, giving it a 21.5in display.
It has a 1.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo Boost up to 2.7GHz, compared with the 2.7GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processor found in the next model up. By comparison, the top-end model, which now costs £1,599, has a 3.4GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processor.
The new cheaper iMac has 8GB memory, a 500GB hard drive (half that of the 1TB in the other iMac models), and the same Intel HD Graphics 5000 found in the latest MacBook Air models.
There are build-to-order options, though. You could upgrade to a 1TB hard drive for £40, for example.

New cheaper iMac: Release date
The new iMac is available to buy from Apple now, though you'll have to wait 1-3 business days for it to be dispatched, according to the current shipping estimate on the Apple Store.

Agree? Technologies are making our life easier in one side but more complicated in another side. Well, technologies is kinda thing that control us, to be addicted with them, to be distracted with other things, such as your homework, housework, goal etc. Technologies, change our way of life.

Working out, Petabytes

17:34 Unknown 0 Comments

An IBM research lab in Almaden, California is working on a storage repository that offers a colossal 120-petabytes of capacity. 120 petabytes translates to nearly 120 million gigabytes. The data repository consists of some 200,000 conventional hard drives. The repository is expected to be able to store around one trillion files and will likely provide the necessary space for detailed simulations of real-world phenomena. The storage array is being developed for an unnamed client that needs a new supercomputer for detailed simulations of real-world phenomena.

The new technologies developed to build this repository could enable similar systems for more conventional commercial computing, says Bruce Hillsberg, Director of Storage Research at IBM and leader of the project.
Most supercomputer storage arrays presently offer a maximum storage capacity of 15 petabytes, which makes IBM's new system considerably larger. The system is said to have a number of tools and redundancies at its disposal so in the event of drive failure, the supercomputer can continue to work at almost full speed.

101 Blog Post Ideas That Will Make Your Blog “HOT”

14:28 Unknown 1 Comments

As a blog-designer, I understand that creating an eye-catching blog is not an easy job. Recently, I browsed an articles on the Internet which inspired me a lot. And here's it.
http://www.51blocks.com/2014/04/10/why-start-a-blog/

It’s difficult to make such posts on daily basis that make your blog sizzle, viral or “hot”. I know many bloggers who produce excellent content. Their approach is different, out of the box and it makes them extraordinary. Therefore I have made a list of 101 blog post ideas that most likely make your blog more interesting.
This list is more than enough to keep you busy for the whole year.
#1 Run a contest
#2 Review books/products/films – Reviews deliver a lot of value to your followers and people are constantly looking for honest opinions, not the fake ones that the web is full of.
#3 Make comprehensive guide/tutorial – If you’re a professional in a field or know some topics extra well, feel free to help the ones who have less skills and experience than you do. Tutorials and guides help people a lot.
#4 Interview someone – Know any famous or people who have great stories behind their work/life/career? Interviews are extremely popular in two cases: a) you deliver an interview with a famous person who speaks very rarely in public or b) shares rally useful and practical tips and content.
#5 Post a cool infographic - Infographics help to visualize complicated data and they’re hugely popular these days. As always, when something becomes mainstream, the overall quality is poor. So, if you’re not a designer, hire one to get a viral infographic that stands out of the crowd.
#6 Criticize a website/blog or a person – The web and blogs are great for discussion, opinions and criticizing. Nevertheless, if you are brave enough to say some crispy words about someone, make sure your text has strong arguments and is based on real facts. Random ranting is pointless.
#7 Make a post full of GIFs – GIFs are the symbol of online entertainment and humor. There are thousands of GIFs and generators that help to produce new ones.
#8 Create a photo post – Share your favorite photos from your niche or personal photos from your latest traveling adventure. Keep in mind that if you’re not the author, always give credit to the original photographer by providing a link.
Blog about your secrets#9 Tell a personal secret – We all have our dreams as well as secrets. Sharing them publicly gives very engaging content to the followers. As much as people love rumors, they love to know the dirty little secrets of other people.
#10 Write inspirational/motivational post with famous quotes – People need little kicks to get going and get things done. Big things start from small ones and motivational posts can do miracles. Here’s one of the best quotes from Steve Jobs. “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else´s life.” Here are some tips for using quotes in your posts.
#11 Share recent travel experiences - Travel blogs and posts are popular and there are people who earn living solely from writing about their adventures. Sharing inspiration and tips is very useful. In case you haven’t traveled for a while, publish the best or worst experiences you’ve had in certain countries/airline companies etc.
#12 Giveaway – Have you ever thought why products like GoPro or any other become more and more popular with each day? They do giveaway campaigns regularly. People love free stuff and it helps to reach new audiences.
#13 Write down a conspiracy theory – Have you heard about all the number theories and many others behind important events and people? Now it’s time to start a new one, let your imagination free or simply share you opinions about the known ones.
#14 Show log files of intense conversations – Who doesn’t like to read log-files that are somewhat offensive?
#15 Write a short story – No previous experience with writing fiction? Publish your short story (about 200 – 500 words) and ask your followers for feedback.
#16 Write a poem or sing a song – Great artists and singers are not born overnight, first they’ll have to discover their talent. Find your new hobby or passion in poetry or singing.
#17 Create a list of something – People are lazy, they don’t want to waste time on searching and gathering information. That’s the reason why lists are popular. Create TOP10 or better yet: TOP100 lists, lists of movies, books, influential people or any other topic.
#18 Write down all the thoughts you had in mind today – This is pretty mindf*#?, but if you are bored then you can try this method as well.
#19 Share your goals/dreams publicly – Write down all your goals for the current year or dreams where you want to be in 5 years time. It gives nice pressure and motivation to achieve the goals.
#20 Make a link carnival and ask others to join – All sorts of link carnivals and linky parties are becoming very popular.
#21 Announce that you’ve turned the comments into “do-follow” so you can get more comments – You will probably get 50% more comments in that way. However, the downside of this technique is that you might receive a lot of “spam” blog comments as well.
#22 Build your to-do list – There are many to-do list apps and services but try to publish your tasks on your blog. Other people will have the opportunity to learn from you. How you build your tasks, how broad or narrow they are etc…
#23 Write a post in response to some recent post/news – In other words, it means being an opinion blogger or analyst. When you manage to write high-level content on hot topics, your blog will most probably be featured on major newspapers and websites.
#24 Make a full case study about something – We covered tutorials already, but case studies reveal what and how you’ve done and which are the results. This is extremely interesting for many folks, especially for me.
#25 Share your favorite blogs/bloggers in one post – It’s a bit similar to “Make a list” idea but sharing the blogs and bloggers you follow is never a bad idea. Give the resources to your readers, believe me, they are grateful and won’t stop following you.
#26 Invite your readers to submit guest posts – Are you struggling with new posts or have to leave for some time? Ask people to write guest posts. It’s a win-win situation, you get the content, they can build up their name or brand.
#27 Publish the best comments that your blog has got throughout the history – Are you using a vote system on your comments or just know the posts where some comments have raised very fruitful discussions? Share them in a separate post.
Blog income#28 Share your blogs income + traffic numbers – Prove that a blog in your niche can have reasonable traffic numbers and maybe even be profitable. Bring Google Analytics data to daylight and it’s very nice if you provided some analysis in important points, for example a major change in traffic numbers etc.
#29 Tell a joke – That’s pretty straight forward, humor never gets old and great jokes are really entertaining.
#30 Bust a myth – There are thousands of well-known things that actually are not true, in other words they’re called myths. Take some time and do some research to disprove some of them..
#31 Produce or publish your art – Online galleries and portfolios look cool and can be the first step to the world for artists. So publish your paintings, comics, graphical design masterpieces and other stuff as well.
#32 Publish a post about your success and epic failures – Being successful means doing mistakes or in other words failing. But failing is not bad, it’s a learning experience to be better the next time. So, that’s the reason why you should talk publicly about your success and failures, to let others learn from it.
#33 Ask your readers to tweet, like and share the posts they like – Spreading the word about your blog or posts is important but sometimes people need a little extra kick to do that, so write a post for that.
#34 Start a poll – That’s simple, want to know what other people prefer or think about a certain topic, start a poll to get quick overview.
#35 Write a post about things you regret doing/not doing – When you surf around Quora or Yahoo Answers, you’ll find many very popular topics and posts about the things people regret doing and not doing. Try to write down your own list.
#36 Pose a rhetorical question in your blog post - This blog post idea is similar to posting random quotes, just to produce some content.
Awesome image#37 Post a picture that speaks more than thousand words - Sometimes you can and SHOULD post images that tell us a story. It does not only grab attention and increase your visitors average time spent on the blog, but it’s also extremely interesting.
#38 Publish some little or unknown facts – The internet and different encyclopedias are full of facts, some of them are really random. For example “Did you know that the pink/red/white color of flamingos comes from the food they eat?”
#39 Publish an In Memorian post – It’s polite to commemorate the people who pass away.

How come some people seemed weird?

23:31 Unknown 0 Comments

Socially awkward people often get told that they're weird. It's a tricky word to deal with because it has both good and bad connotations, and people use it to describe all kinds of things. Sometimes the word is used to refer to something that's strange or different with the others, but not necessarily bad. Some people may not like it, but that's only just their opinion. For example, someone might say they don't like Johnny Depp or Albert Einstein because they both seem like a weird guy. But there's nothing really wrong with him as a person. He's just has a bit of an eccentric style. At other times someone may call something weird, and they're referring to a behavior that really is socially inappropriate, and overly strange and disconcerting, and even unacceptable by some standards. In this case, the person doing the weird things may want to take that feedback into the heart and try to act differently.

The hard part is figuring out which of your weird behaviors to keep and which ones to try and eliminate. It's always going to be a judgment call that each person has to make for themselves. The choices someone makes will also depend on how much their orientation towards changing themselves is based on being pragmatic and adapting to the world vs. being true to themselves.

Here are some things that may earn someone a weird label: (to be continued in the later topics)

Overdose stress

20:32 Unknown 0 Comments

Have you ever thought to be a student again? No overtime working? No disturbance from the boss? Well, not anymore. The whole education system has changed throughly.
It’s really difficult to understand the life of a student nowadays.
Why do students study? Simply, to find a nice job to earn money in order to make a better living in the future. Doctors, lawyers, businessman, are the dream jobs of Hong Kong students. Be an athlete? Well, that’s just too toilsome. Be an artist? Well, do you think you can survive in this modern ruthless city by painting?
Just few decades ago, learning is a leisure. Play and eat in the recess with friends. Play basketball after school. Nowadays? Studying and doing homework in the recess. Supplementary after school. Weekends, fill with extra-curricular activities, music class, maths class and more. Students’ day is full, totally full. ‘I should be asleep, but there are a lot of things I should be.

Should the government revised this weird education system? Probably no, that’s the change of man’s way of life.

Apple released the latest version of OS X, Yosemite

15:26 Unknown 0 Comments

The 10th version of OS X, named Yosemite, is released during WWDC14. Here is the brief overview provided by Apple.

Redesigned interface
The most significant thing about this update is the interface. By adding translucency to certain interface elements in OS X Yosemite, users can easier emphasis on their content.
Moreover, Yosemite also features ‘dark mode’, which surprised a lot of mac users.
A cleaner, more iconic dock.
There are several ways to launch an app. But most likely you look to the Dock. With OS X Yosemite, we’ve simplified the appearance of the Dock and its icons to provide a more consistent look and feel. This new approach to the icons gives the entire app family a more harmonious look while making each one instantly recognizable.
More
There are too much incredible upgrades, please visit www.apple.com/osx/preview for more information.
More elegant, from A to Z
For some, the choice of a font may not be a big deal. But to us, it’s an integral part of the interface. In OS X Yosemite, fonts have been refined systemwide to be more legible and consistent across the Mac experience. You’ll notice a fresh, new typeface in app windows, menu bars, and throughout the system. And it looks absolutely incredible on the Retina display.

Even powerful built-in apps
Safari: The new, streamlined toolbar in Safari puts your most important controls at your fingertips and gives you more room for what you’re viewing. Safari also gives you faster performance and more control over your privacy.
Mail: Now Mail lets you send large attachments more easily. You can annotate documents and fill out forms right in your email messages. Faster performance means you’ll get your email more quickly, too.
Message: If you have an iPhone, now you can send and receive both iMessage and SMS messages right on your Mac. Add people to group conversations, and remove yourself when you want. Even record short audio clips to add your voice to the conversation.
iCloud Drive: Store any type of file in iCloud and access it on any device. With iCloud Drive, you can organize your files in the cloud the way you like, create as many folders as you want, and add tags to find files faster.

Mac and iOS
Phone: Now you can make and receive iPhone calls on your Mac. So if you’re working on your Mac and your iPhone rings in another room, you can leave it there and still take the call.
SMS: The text messages on your iPhone — including SMS and iMessage — are now available on your Mac. Send and receive. Read and reply. All without picking up your iPhone.
Handoff: Now your Mac knows the last thing you were doing on your iOS device and vice versa. So you can start something on one device and instantly pick it up on another.

Instant hotspot: Turn on the personal hotspot on your iPhone with just a few clicks on your Mac. So as long as your iPhone is nearby, you can get online with your Mac.

Quote of the day: Stay hungry. Stay foolish.

17:30 Unknown 0 Comments

Stay hungry. Stay foolish.
Never be satisfied, and always push yourself.
This is the "Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish" address delivered by Steve Jobs in 2005 at Stanford University:
‘I am honored to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. I never graduated from college. Truth be told, this is the closest I've ever gotten to a college graduation. Today I want to tell you three stories from my life. That's it. No big deal. Just three stories.’

What's the modern standard?

12:54 Unknown 0 Comments

Some guys might ask "What is your standard of living?” Well I would rather prefer asking"What is the standard of ‘everything'?" Simply the modern standard.

A week ago I walked past a bookstore in Tsim Sha Tsui and I went in in search of some new books as usual. I was looking forward to buy Alan Greenspan's newly published book The Map And The Territory, an sequel to Age Of Turbulence, published in 2007. The price was not around HKD$250 as I expected, but an astonishing $333 just for a paperback. I guess this is usual price they put on these 'senior grade' books. So what price do people want things to be (in the future)? $800 for thin paperback book (not considering those expensive reference books). $50 for a normal pen? It's just something people can't afford. How they got up to this price, this must be a long story. They usually got hooked up to it. Let us just ignore it first.

As everyone knows, usually a successful product will not cost too much and have a brilliant quality. So what price tag should they put on, which is acceptable? Also, what quality should it have?

After a research,we know that what prices people want.

BALL PEN (made in Japan) $5.50 BALL PEN (made in China) $2.00
BOOKS (published in Foreign Countries ) $110.00
BOOKS (published in simplifiedChinese, from mainland China) $65.00
BOOKS (published in traditional Chinese, from HK or Taiwan) $90.00

NOTEBOOK(good quality) $15.00
NOTEBOOK(cheap ones) $3.70

#1Note: Some of the cheaper products are not based on real product prices(Ex. Gamble notebooks(imitator of Gambol Notebooks)sold for only $4.00 for every notebook in average. Throughout the process, the company still makes a profit since their product only passes 3 channels from production to wholesale(in this case the PRC government did not secretly fund them). And each channel still made their money as like the store in Tsuen Wan sold them separately. But notice that it still makes up to some remarkable prices while degrading their paper quality. The paper they used there,is,simply terrible.
#2Note: Table from above is drawn from a $15 funded research.
#3Note:All books on the table are paperbacks.

A modern standard.Based on most of the citizen's official standard. And see what they want things to be.Note that the producers can lower the standard by offering them some below-standard stuff(if the technology reached the point that manufacturers were able to make a better specific product but they don't do so),but the scene won't last long after some visionary and powerful companies take their step forward. It'll lead the companies that produced below-standard stuff into the void.

This article may be not interest you at all,but remember make the price what the customer wants.Modern standard may be hard to archive since nothing is perfect, though establishing a regional standard is a must.So what is your modern standard for products?

So the question came back again:What's the modern standard?People from different regions have different standards for life and the price they want sellers to put on the price tag. There is no need for a globalized price for something. Localize,I would say.Even if it do so,the "game" will not be so fun.And I suppose no one wants to ruin the game that's going on well. The prices will be kept different in every place.Of course it'll always play with the economy as everyone knows. Each country or region competes with another through the overall prices.
