How come some people seemed weird?

Socially awkward people often get told that they're weird. It's a tricky word to deal with because it has both good and bad connotations, and people use it to describe all kinds of things. Sometimes the word is used to refer to something that's strange or different with the others, but not necessarily bad. Some people may not like it, but that's only just their opinion. For example, someone might say they don't like Johnny Depp or Albert Einstein because they both seem like a weird guy. But there's nothing really wrong with him as a person. He's just has a bit of an eccentric style. At other times someone may call something weird, and they're referring to a behavior that really is socially inappropriate, and overly strange and disconcerting, and even unacceptable by some standards. In this case, the person doing the weird things may want to take that feedback into the heart and try to act differently.

The hard part is figuring out which of your weird behaviors to keep and which ones to try and eliminate. It's always going to be a judgment call that each person has to make for themselves. The choices someone makes will also depend on how much their orientation towards changing themselves is based on being pragmatic and adapting to the world vs. being true to themselves.

Here are some things that may earn someone a weird label: (to be continued in the later topics)

Overdose stress

Have you ever thought to be a student again? No overtime working? No disturbance from the boss? Well, not anymore. The whole education system has changed throughly.
It’s really difficult to understand the life of a student nowadays.
Why do students study? Simply, to find a nice job to earn money in order to make a better living in the future. Doctors, lawyers, businessman, are the dream jobs of Hong Kong students. Be an athlete? Well, that’s just too toilsome. Be an artist? Well, do you think you can survive in this modern ruthless city by painting?
Just few decades ago, learning is a leisure. Play and eat in the recess with friends. Play basketball after school. Nowadays? Studying and doing homework in the recess. Supplementary after school. Weekends, fill with extra-curricular activities, music class, maths class and more. Students’ day is full, totally full. ‘I should be asleep, but there are a lot of things I should be.

Should the government revised this weird education system? Probably no, that’s the change of man’s way of life.

Apple released the latest version of OS X, Yosemite

The 10th version of OS X, named Yosemite, is released during WWDC14. Here is the brief overview provided by Apple.

Redesigned interface
The most significant thing about this update is the interface. By adding translucency to certain interface elements in OS X Yosemite, users can easier emphasis on their content.
Moreover, Yosemite also features ‘dark mode’, which surprised a lot of mac users.
A cleaner, more iconic dock.
There are several ways to launch an app. But most likely you look to the Dock. With OS X Yosemite, we’ve simplified the appearance of the Dock and its icons to provide a more consistent look and feel. This new approach to the icons gives the entire app family a more harmonious look while making each one instantly recognizable.
More
There are too much incredible upgrades, please visit www.apple.com/osx/preview for more information.
More elegant, from A to Z
For some, the choice of a font may not be a big deal. But to us, it’s an integral part of the interface. In OS X Yosemite, fonts have been refined systemwide to be more legible and consistent across the Mac experience. You’ll notice a fresh, new typeface in app windows, menu bars, and throughout the system. And it looks absolutely incredible on the Retina display.

Even powerful built-in apps
Safari: The new, streamlined toolbar in Safari puts your most important controls at your fingertips and gives you more room for what you’re viewing. Safari also gives you faster performance and more control over your privacy.
Mail: Now Mail lets you send large attachments more easily. You can annotate documents and fill out forms right in your email messages. Faster performance means you’ll get your email more quickly, too.
Message: If you have an iPhone, now you can send and receive both iMessage and SMS messages right on your Mac. Add people to group conversations, and remove yourself when you want. Even record short audio clips to add your voice to the conversation.
iCloud Drive: Store any type of file in iCloud and access it on any device. With iCloud Drive, you can organize your files in the cloud the way you like, create as many folders as you want, and add tags to find files faster.

Mac and iOS
Phone: Now you can make and receive iPhone calls on your Mac. So if you’re working on your Mac and your iPhone rings in another room, you can leave it there and still take the call.
SMS: The text messages on your iPhone — including SMS and iMessage — are now available on your Mac. Send and receive. Read and reply. All without picking up your iPhone.
Handoff: Now your Mac knows the last thing you were doing on your iOS device and vice versa. So you can start something on one device and instantly pick it up on another.

Instant hotspot: Turn on the personal hotspot on your iPhone with just a few clicks on your Mac. So as long as your iPhone is nearby, you can get online with your Mac.

Quote of the day: Stay hungry. Stay foolish.

Stay hungry. Stay foolish.
Never be satisfied, and always push yourself.
This is the "Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish" address delivered by Steve Jobs in 2005 at Stanford University:
‘I am honored to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. I never graduated from college. Truth be told, this is the closest I've ever gotten to a college graduation. Today I want to tell you three stories from my life. That's it. No big deal. Just three stories.’

What's the modern standard?

Some guys might ask "What is your standard of living?” Well I would rather prefer asking"What is the standard of ‘everything'?" Simply the modern standard.

A week ago I walked past a bookstore in Tsim Sha Tsui and I went in in search of some new books as usual. I was looking forward to buy Alan Greenspan's newly published book The Map And The Territory, an sequel to Age Of Turbulence, published in 2007. The price was not around HKD$250 as I expected, but an astonishing $333 just for a paperback. I guess this is usual price they put on these 'senior grade' books. So what price do people want things to be (in the future)? $800 for thin paperback book (not considering those expensive reference books). $50 for a normal pen? It's just something people can't afford. How they got up to this price, this must be a long story. They usually got hooked up to it. Let us just ignore it first.

As everyone knows, usually a successful product will not cost too much and have a brilliant quality. So what price tag should they put on, which is acceptable? Also, what quality should it have?

After a research,we know that what prices people want.

BALL PEN (made in Japan) $5.50 BALL PEN (made in China) $2.00
BOOKS (published in Foreign Countries ) $110.00
BOOKS (published in simplifiedChinese, from mainland China) $65.00
BOOKS (published in traditional Chinese, from HK or Taiwan) $90.00

NOTEBOOK(good quality) $15.00
NOTEBOOK(cheap ones) $3.70

#1Note: Some of the cheaper products are not based on real product prices(Ex. Gamble notebooks(imitator of Gambol Notebooks)sold for only $4.00 for every notebook in average. Throughout the process, the company still makes a profit since their product only passes 3 channels from production to wholesale(in this case the PRC government did not secretly fund them). And each channel still made their money as like the store in Tsuen Wan sold them separately. But notice that it still makes up to some remarkable prices while degrading their paper quality. The paper they used there,is,simply terrible.
#2Note: Table from above is drawn from a $15 funded research.
#3Note:All books on the table are paperbacks.

A modern standard.Based on most of the citizen's official standard. And see what they want things to be.Note that the producers can lower the standard by offering them some below-standard stuff(if the technology reached the point that manufacturers were able to make a better specific product but they don't do so),but the scene won't last long after some visionary and powerful companies take their step forward. It'll lead the companies that produced below-standard stuff into the void.

This article may be not interest you at all,but remember make the price what the customer wants.Modern standard may be hard to archive since nothing is perfect, though establishing a regional standard is a must.So what is your modern standard for products?

So the question came back again:What's the modern standard?People from different regions have different standards for life and the price they want sellers to put on the price tag. There is no need for a globalized price for something. Localize,I would say.Even if it do so,the "game" will not be so fun.And I suppose no one wants to ruin the game that's going on well. The prices will be kept different in every place.Of course it'll always play with the economy as everyone knows. Each country or region competes with another through the overall prices.
